I'm soooo happy and relieved that I have passed my first year at University. I attained a 2:1 in Spanish, a 2:1 in Education and a 2:2 in French and, to be honest, I'm quite surprised that I even passed, given my "study techniques" xD
There's absolutely no denying that my first year at university was a memorable and amazing one, and I'm just sooo extremely glad that I left school a year in advance to do this, because the people I've met, the memories I've made, the achievements and obstacles that I have overcome, they beat going to prom or getting a yearbook any day!
However, I'm not gonna lie: there were times where it was tough and I missed a lot of people from home, but the windshield is bigger than the rear-view mirror for a reason: you've got to see the bigger picture and move on, and that's what I've done and I'm so happy about this choice. The main person I have to thank for that initially is my French teacher from high school, Mr Conway. If it wasn't for him believing in my abilities and strengths, I would not be here writing this journal, feeling like the happiest person alive. I also have to thank my friends and family for all their support (eventually! haha) but I'd also like to thank my wonderful dA friends who kept me going: by commenting on my journals, by giving me advice, by sending me messages when I was feeling down or just to see how I was feeling. It's so nice to have friends on this website, and it's a sort of "escape from reality" because you're talking to people from other parts of the world, but feeling a connection like the ones that have lived right by your side your whole life. So thank you to my amazing deviant followers for everything, you have played a massive part in my journey and keep me going in my darkest days #DeviantArtUntilIDie haha
Speaking of which, it's only a month exactly until I visit the wonderful xcxNinuixcx in Austria! (and hopefully cherry-yukai and xcxQuynxcx too!) I'm sooooo excited about going to Austria , you have no idea! And I know that I never shut up about this, but I still can't get over the fact that if it wasn't for this website, I would probably never have met any of those deviants and would never have had Esther visit me in real life, and probably wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to visit her in a month's time, either!
So that's the one thing that is pushing me on through the summer, because I've been pretty bogged down with work and personal issues. I'm couchsurfing and commuting and it's been like that for about a month, and will be like that for the next few weeks. But I'm hoping that it'll settle down once I get my transfer back home in Glasgow, and I'm just trying to work as hard as I can so that I can earn money for my holidays to Austria and Poland
This summer is pretty mierda already tbh haha, the Scottish weather teamed with commuting and working almost every day plus never really getting to see my family or friends is just quite rubbish, but that's why I'm glad I have you guys
So enough about me, I wanna hear from you guys! What plans have you got for the Summer? How did you get on at school/work/uni/college this year? Is anybody wanting any answers or advice about leaving school? Just leave a wee comment and I'll get back to you!
I hope you're all well!

So I'm undoubtedly very excited for this year;
I'm back - bye bye depression, hello happiness!
Hello Deviants! :wave:
Jeez where do I even start? Haha ^^;
Not sure when my last journal was written but it was about my mental health. Now I can proudly clarify that I am not letting it beat me. I've been through hell with it (missing out on fantastic degree-related opportunities, losing some friends along the way, encountering a level of self-loathing so great that I couldn't even live with myself...etc etc.) But now here I am, alive and well and not looking back; only forward! :aww: (yay for optimism)
I got so sick of just laying around and drowning myself in my own little pool of self-pity. One morning I just woke up and thought, "Rig
Mental Health Awareness Week...My Story
Hey guys...
As some or many of you may know, this week was Mental Health Awareness Week. At the university, we had two spokeswoman in from the local hospital telling us all about mental health and it really hit reality. It is said that in the UK, depression is the 2nd most disabling illness and around 10-15% of the British population have depression and/or anxiety. The talk was supposed to go on for 2 hours, but I had to leave after the first hour of listening to them talk about depression and anxiety. I couldn't take it anymore.
Since around March/April time, personally, things became quite serious. A lot of things were going on in my life
Back at Uni! :)
Hey everyone! So I currently should be studying but I am in the library and can't be bothered haha but I've missed my dA family! :heart: I hope you all had a wonderful summer! :)
I travelled to Austria to visit xcxNinuixcx (https://www.deviantart.com/xcxninuixcx) and I met cherry-yukai (https://www.deviantart.com/cherry-yukai) and xcxQuynxcx (https://www.deviantart.com/xcxquynxcx) while I was over there too! I had such a fantastic time and I really do miss it all sometimes xD It was my first time travelling to Austria and I just fell completely in love with it... Everything was so beautiful and the people were so lovely and I just felt right at home :aww: :heart:
Hdl liebe Esther, liebe Katha und lieber Jojo! :D
I also travelled to Poland with my friend Ma

awww great stuff, your trip in a month ^^ I hope it'll be heaps of fun!
And I'm jealous of you meeting cherry-yukai hahaha
give her, Essie and Johannes my greetings when you're there!
Life might not be the best right now, but you really like this job right? (at least I thouhgt you did at the beginning) so that's a plus.
In a few months you'll be on the plane and forgetting about all the stuff in life you don't like cus you'll be up above the clouds!
My life is going fine It's wonderful to not be in school anymore! I've lots of nice things going on every day and I won't see home so much for the rest of the holiday!
I'm going to our holiday home tomorrow for 5 days, and the 3rd of juli we'll be heading for Ireland where we're going to stay until the 18th. The 24th I'm going to Portugal with a friend of mine ( I can't wait!!) And the 7th of August we'll return and I'm going to work near our holiday home in August, September and October.
So yeah, I might make further travel plans and music plans as I want to get really serious with music. So that's my life, tell me more about yours!
